I buy these Starbucks Frappuccino beverages on my way to class sometimes and one day I took a good look at the bottle and thought about how cute they would look painted and turned into a vase. After that, I kept my empty bottle and went through my craft supplies and found some pretty Christmas Red paint that was perfect for this project. I then ran to the Dollar Tree and grabbed a few of their seasonal Christmas flowers to put in the vase.
- Starbucks Glass Bottle (You can buy these at almost any Grocery Store)
- Fake Flowers (Dollar Tree for $1 each)
- Red Acrylic Paint
[Step 1]: Drink your Starbucks Frappuccino beverage and clean the bottle out!
This will give you energy to keep on crafting for the night! Drink the Starbucks beverage and then you can wash it out with soap and water! After that you should be able to peel the stickers off. These might be a little tricky to get off and require some scrubbing but I promise this project is worth the scrubbing.
[Step 2]: Squirt or pour the paint into the bottle.
Once the bottle has dried from you washing it you can begin the painting process. This will take some time because you will have to squirt a bit of paint in and then turn the bottle around to get it to cover each spot. I don’t recommend using a paint brush because it will leave strokes in the inside. Doing it this way will keep it all smooth and shiny!
[Step 3]: Let it dry overnight.
I recommend letting it dry overnight because a lot of the paint will fall to the bottom and that will take longer to dry than the rest.
[Step 4]: Almost done! Insert flowers into vase!
When you are happy with the way your arrangement of flowers look you can put them in the vase! It will look a little something like below!
I’m very pleased with the way this turned out. I might add some ribbon to it if I find some thin enough that will look good on it. I decided I’m going to use this as Christmas decor but in the future I would like to try other colors to just have around the house or bathroom.
Thank you for reading and I hope you give this cheap idea a try!
